Sierra’s Story

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui, where my love for sports, particularly soccer, blossomed. Playing soccer has been my passion since I was just five years old, and it’s been a constant source of strength and joy in my life, especially during challenging times. During my high school years in Lake Forest, California, I was a three-sport athlete, juggling soccer, basketball, and track. But soccer was always my fave. When I ventured into college, I had the privilege of representing Long Beach State University, and later Texas Tech University on the soccer field. In the summer of 2023, I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in marketing.

I am now pursuing my dream of playing professional soccer and soaking in every moment of the incredible journey. I’m also a massive fan of the Golden State Warriors. 

Meet Lena

Now, let me introduce you to the other half of our dynamic duo – my mom, Lena. Born and raised on the picturesque island of Maui, Lena’s sporting journey took a unique turn in her 30s when she discovered her passion for tennis. 

In 2014, Lena made the move from the Aloha state to Southern California and eventually settled in Las Vegas, often affectionately referred to as the “9th island.” Besides her role as a dedicated soccer mom, Lena also manages the career of the renowned artist, Robert Lyn Nelson, in the fine art business.

Lena’s enthusiasm extends beyond the art world. She’s a fitness enthusiast, a soccer aficionado, and, of course, a dedicated pickleball player. 

Together, we decided to channel our shared love for pickleball into something special – Pickleball Vibes. Pickleball has added a new dimension to our lives, offering fun, fitness, and an opportunity to connect with people on and off the court. However, it’s not just about us; we hope to introduce people of all ages, from kids to seniors, to the incredible world of pickleball!
